In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Ripped from the Headlines!.”
A new dawn came for the country Naija, after the people enmass went out enmass to vote for Change. The results came out and it was indeed time for Change. There was a lot of hullaballoo, but everyone knew that indeed change has come.Like my friend will always say,” we are the ones we are waiting for”.
The first one hundred days was over, and the agitations started again. It was now time for the opposing sychophants to begin their critical ranting,” Sai,Baba is too old”,Mr President is too slow. and the criticism went on and on. When will he choose his cabinet? Abi he wants to be President and Minister at the same time.
Voila! Sai Baba has broken the silence, he has finally taken his time to select his team after complex political juggling feat. I mean what do you expect from a complex country like NAIJA. Choosing a cabinet in this country is a complex and complicated balancing act. I must commend the bravery of Sai Baba for his doggedness and strong resolute in the face of hot criticisms.
Naija is a country of diverse religion and ethnicity which requires the need to maintain both balance tovthis effect it is highly crucial for Baba to carefully make his selection such that all the 36 states are properly represented. No wonder it took him this long time, I really wouldn’t want to be in Baba shoes. No way!!
Now the sychophants and blabbers will keep quiet for now, until they find something else to rant about. like Baba will always say to his critics,”Impatience is not a virtue”. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations yields far better results. I believe this is true now.
Finally ,”Sai Baba has unveiled the results of his lengthy deliberations,we now have our 36 ministerial candidates. It is a new day I guess,or maybe we are back to square one……old wine in new bottles???
Change is here…..after 6months?
