He that hopes to look back hereafter with satisfaction upon past years must learn to know the present value of single minutes, and endeavor to let no particle of time fall useless to the ground. Samuel Johnson.
In response to blogging 101 prompt, “Get inspired by your neighbor.
A beautiful woman’s Presence, inspired me ,re-emphasizing the importance of living in the now, learning and growing.
It is true that humans we tend to spend a lot of time in the past, thinking about what was, or what could have been. We spend time getting lost in the future ,projecting and wondering what may happen. Hey! the past is past, you can’t do much about it, the future…well, until it happens. There is Now!
Remember Isa 43: 18-19
Forget the Former things,
do not dwell on the past
See I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up: do you not perceive it?
Forget about the old things, this way of thinking is a great way to makes us miserable and a lot more limited than necessary. For whatever reason, the Word is telling us not to dwell on the past, because there is always a better way to achieve more , than what we might have experience before.
It is a new day… See I am doing a new thing!… can you see it? can you feel it. Living in the now, in the moment require a conscious effort to be in touch with what is happening around us. living as much as we can in the moment that we have here and are in control. This moment right here, right now~!
Living in the now, Savoring the moment, unwrapping the gift of now gives us clarity and helps us to truly focus and appreciate what is available now.
It is really a pretty blog that you have. Well done.
