Count on me through thick and thin
A friendship that will never end
When you are weak I will be strong
Helping you to carry on
Call on me I will be there
Don’t be afraid
please believe me when I say
Count on me-
This line of the song by Whitney Houston and Cece Winans was displayed to me over the weekend by 3 great women in this blog community. As I read the third ladies post tears filled my eyes as I felt the love from a distance. Many times I have reblogged other people’s post, and not necessarily get one or two( I am not reblogging so that mine will be reblogged as well though it will be nice to get that once in a while :D).
Over the weekend, I was lavished with love as A Richness of a simple life Striving NigerianMom jacquelineobyikocha all went out of there ways to help me promote my work. Not only did they share it, or mention it or reblogged their words of encouragement still lingers in my heart. I mean my striving Nigerian mom, shared it on her facebook platform.
In case you are wondering so, what’s the big deal! It is a huge deal for me because these women may not know it, but by their singular show of kindness, they have pushed that song #LeadMeByOBA- The story behind the song. to a greater and wider audience beyond my sphere of Influence. They have shown me by their action that they believed in me. That is one of the cruces of any friendship or relationship. ‘Believe in one another’
Because you believe, I am gradually getting to the goal of this vision, one day at a time.
Niki, Jackie, Seyi, your gestures of love and care got me thinking about the value of friendship and Sisterhood today and I just wanted to shout it out, LADIES YOU ALL ROCK!
Sitting by my bedside-Thinking about Friends, these ladies and many others in the blogily!
