It’s the 4th of March
Yesterday’s boy
Is ten years today
Oh, how time flies.

I remember when I found out
That I was pregnant
I hated myself
I blamed God.

Why would he allow this?
We ‘re just barely getting by
And now another child
Lord, you must be messing with my mind.

No! I am not ready,
Can’t bear the pain all over again
I’ll rather stay with one
But He had better plans.

Unlike the previous pregnancy
He was mild a little
I told myself, “This will be stress -free
So I walked into the Hospital.

Excuse me, I’m ready
Can we get this over with
With a little anaesthetic
I watched as the doctor
Cut me again from below.

Behold my little boy
looking so radiant and bright.
The Mini-me they say,
But with a mind of his own.

We named him Wonderful
That’s what he’s been
My pride and joy
Wonderfully and fearfully made.
