Motherhood On My Mind!

Pulling the child

Against her breast

As she revelled in the loving warmth

of the precious seed, heaven thrust on her

A tiny innocent being

So trusting as its cling to its mother

Trusting her for its sustenance, well-being and security

Not only the milk from her breast will sustain

But her love, her care

The impartation ignited by the bond between them.

The Impartation from her heart, her very soul and spirit.

************

The child has been born

Purpose has been birthed

The purpose that will unfold through time

And In time.

The child and its Mother

The Mother and her Child

Two inseparable being

Both needing each other

As they breathe the same air

There is an Invisible cord

growing tighter and tighter.

The price of motherhood is a great price

The intensity of a mother’s love is Legendary!

What a mother will do, the extent a mother would go to protect her children is unimaginable.

It’s the International Woman’s day today. It was Mothering Sunday on Sunday.

I salute all the Girls, Ladies, Women, Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Girlfriends.

To every potential woman and Mother.

Cheers to a beautiful life of sacrifice and great commitment to better the lives of others.

Lovely poem about the bond btw mother and child. I have not experienced motherhood yet but I see this bond btw my friends and their little ones. You can see it and feel it between them. Happy International Woman’s Day!

Sometimes that makes “mother-in-law” status become very hard to cope with. Not so true in my case. New role must be accepted, but mother love? How can it ever end? (I will say, however, that I’m pretty good at staying out of their business!) Just ask, I’ll send you a letter of recommendation from my daughter-in-law! Include her in this Happy International woman’s day. Here’s to you my dear.
