River Rise #writephoto.

I missed Sue’s #writephoto prompt for Friday because I had to travel and it was impromptu, wasn’t ready but had to. Coupled with jetlag and a new environment my body reacted in a funny way. but I am getting better at least I can do some writing before going to bed.

So here is my take on the prompt.

I want to live by the river bank

And watch the kids as they play

Side by side

jumping in and out of the waters

laughing, giggling as if there is no tomorrow.

I can hear the splash  gives out a melody rhyme

River rise carries me back home.

A home where the children play

throwing stones and stick

into the flowing streams

and the sound goes

splong! splang! shlush!

I love the sound of the splash.

  1. Lovely poem. You captured the way water invites play and good memories. 🙂
