Today’s Word.

psalms 57

Right up from man’s lowliness to heaven’s loftiness mercy reaches. Our imagination fails to guess the height of heaven, and the riches of God’s mercy exceeds our highest thoughts.

King David the psalmist, sitting at the cave’s mouth, looks up to the firmament and he rejoices over the fact that God’s goodness is vaster and more sublime than the valued skies.

The heavens cannot contain Him, above the stars, and the clouds His goodness, loving kindness far exceeds.

Praise rises higher and knows no bound.
