Just do It.

I know this tagline is a very popular line, and No! I am not trying to advertise for Nike. I did something that I have never done today, and it feels so great. I began to ask myself, why couldn’t I have done it, when the idea came to me some months back.

Sometimes we allow uncertainty to cripple our desire for change. Most of us like to know what the outcome of certain actions will be before we take the steps necessary to accomplish our desires. It is called the fear of the unknown.

just do it

I had made some changes concerning my blog site, in addition, I made plans to go the extra mile to get people involved in the site by bringing in Guests from time to time. somehow I couldn’t get myself to make the call to the first person on my list. what if she says no? am I sure I want to go all the way with this new idea? called these self-sabotaging questions? what if this? what if that? so many “what ifs”

Some of us do this a lot, but the truth of the matter is that if you don’t get to do what you are meant to do? Someone else may just do it, and you may live to regret it. So I took the bull by the horn and made the phone call, I told the lady in question what I was doing with my writing, I also told her I wanted to interview her for one of my pages on the site, Well she agreed and the rest they say is history.

We had an interesting interview time, she allowed me to post her story and the feedback has been amazing. She said something phenomenally after the chit-chat, that made me reflect on those 3 words of Nike, “Just do it”. Don’t wait for anyone’s permission to do what your heart desires to do, you may likely wait forever.

The best way to break the barriers of any kind of limitations is by making a move, take action, in addition, to this face your fear. Sometimes what we think is too difficult to do, is super easy once we give it a try.

Also, it is important to know that when you, “just do it” it’s not just about you alone, your action towards your desire and or dreams has a ripple effect on lives around you, you will be amazed at how many lives you are able to touch just because you decided to take action.

Face your fear, and just do it!
